Overview

BalancePilot is a debt payoff planning app designed to help users organize debt accounts, balances, due dates, payoff strategies, payment progress, cash planning, and related information. This policy explains what information the app and website may collect and how it is handled.

BalancePilot does not sell your personal information and does not use your financial data for advertising or profiling.

Information You Enter

BalancePilot is a manual-entry app. Users may enter information such as account names, balances, APRs, due dates, statement dates, payment amounts, checking and cash planning amounts, protected commitments, notes, and payoff preferences. This information is entered by you and is used to power the app's planning features.

BalancePilot does not connect to bank accounts. BalancePilot does not request bank login credentials or direct access to financial accounts of any kind. Users should avoid entering sensitive personal information beyond what is needed for debt payoff planning.

How Information Is Used

Information you enter is used to show balances, organize accounts, compare payoff strategies, calculate progress, estimate payoff timing, display due dates, support payday-aware planning, and help you understand what to focus on next.

BalancePilot does not sell personal information. BalancePilot does not use your financial data for advertising, profiling, or third-party marketing purposes.

Data Storage

BalancePilot stores app data locally on your device using standard iOS app storage. BalancePilot does not currently offer cloud sync, account-based backup, or bank syncing. If cloud features are added in a future version, this policy will be updated to explain what data is collected and how it is handled.

App data can be deleted by deleting the app from your device.

Email Contact

If you contact BalancePilot by email, your email address and message contents may be used to respond to support requests, bug reports, feature requests, or important app-related questions. Your email address will not be sold or shared with third parties for advertising. You can request removal from support records by contacting hello@balancepilot.net.

Subscriptions and Purchases

BalancePilot may offer optional Pro features through in-app purchases or subscriptions. Purchases, billing, subscription management, refunds, and App Store account information are handled by Apple according to Apple's own policies and privacy practices.

BalancePilot does not receive your full payment card number from Apple.

No Financial Advice

BalancePilot is a planning and organization tool. It does not provide personalized financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. The app and website help users organize information they enter and compare planning scenarios. Users are responsible for their own financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional when needed.

Third-Party Services

The following third-party services may be involved in operating this website or app:

• GitHub Pages — This website is hosted using GitHub Pages. GitHub may process standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, as part of normal hosting, security, and analytics operations. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.

Children's Privacy

BalancePilot is not intended for children under 13. The app and website are designed for users who are old enough to manage personal financial planning. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the app evolves — for example, when new features are added, subscription features change, or hosting arrangements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app or website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
